Re: Front to rear coolant pipes

If its replacement two part stainless steel you can slide it above the tank to fit.The fuel tank can be removed okay as have done this several times on different T25s.There is a bit of a fiddle to get the fuel pipes & gromets to fit back on the tank.I prefer to remove the tank then inspect the t...

Re: jx 1.6td engine water from exhaust

Other advice may be given. Your engine is a 1,6td isn't it? The cylinder head advertised off ebay is for a normal aspirated engine but covers different engine codes. It said JR well then this means hydraulic buckets and not shimmed adjusted as is on your engine. This will not fit to your cast iron cy...

Re: jx 1.6td engine water from exhaust

Consider this if you spend money getting a pressure test if the head passes. Then the problem is with the cast iron block requiring a replacement engine block&parts. If the head fails a pressure test then you require a new or second hand cylinder head. Explain to where you had the head skim about ...

Re: jx 1.6td engine water from exhaust

The head skim you had done should have included a crack or pressure test before any machining.Did you torque down the cylinder head correctly with a new gasket ensuring a good seal between the cylinder head surface and block. If the cylinder head passed a pressure test and coolent was coming out of ...

Re: jx 1.6td engine water from exhaust

No1 cylinder clean as in your description.Looks like a case of water leakage into that cylinder where it has a scouring effect cleaning off carbon deposits.I have worked on these diesel engine T25 and about 6 head skims. The only way to ensure there are no cracks leaking gases or coolent is to get a ...
