Growing family means I need an extra seat in my Westy T25.
My plan it to fit T4 seats in the front, giving me three in the front as a few other people seem to have done. Just wondering if it's just nuts and bolts to convert the seats from rhd to lhd for the seat belts etc.
Thanks

Side panel strengthening bar
Is the bar bonded in or welded ? If it came lose, could it cause the panel to bow out. I'm now thinking this might be the problem with mine, and as the panel doesn't have too much rust, would it be possible to attach the panel again ? If i push the panel back in it stop roughly in the right place. C...

Re: Side Panel - Repair or Replace
Had a quick look on the site, but can't see the side panel, can see the repair panel and the full rear quarter panel, but not the one I need. Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to try and fine the part number ?
Thanks

Re: Side Panel - Repair or Replace
Looks like a complete new panel is the way to go though, even though the existing is solid, I doubt anyone would be able to get it straight easily. Do the replacement panel include the panel right to the bottom aswell (lower sill) ? Where can I get it from for a few hundred euro's and it that genuin...

Re: Side Panel - Repair or Replace
I agree, it will need a new panel, and probably some work behind that, I will egt the kitchen out and have a better look and try to get some pictures of behind there. As that panels available and seen some of the great repairs some people have done on here, i'm sure someone can do the repair for me....

Side Panel - Repair or Replace
After a bit of advice, and someone who can help with a repair on the van. I have been doing the body work for a while on my van, few new panels, rear arches, steps and small rear quarters. So far so good, spraying it on the drive when we get the weather with a cheapy apollo spraymate, then lots of w...

Re: Factory Side Window Repair
Mine looked similar, and actually wasn't that bad underneath, no holes, mostly surface. Removing the windows wan't too back, just peel the seal back on the inside andslow put pressure on the window, starting in the corner. There was no bare metal on the windows of a westy, so they usually hold up we...

Re: what engine code ok for TDI or TD convertion?
Meant bigger injectors (with my chip probably altered again), stock turbo, too much hassle to change, and probably not enough benefit. http://www.kermatdi.com/servlet/-strse-16/-dsh--POWERPLUS-520--dsh-/Detail" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Are you runing the evry for your ...

Re: what engine code ok for TDI or TD convertion?
It took me up to 115bhp and and extra 60lb/ft, but it's putting out close to the original max (90bhp) just after 2000rpm. It made a big difference, not quite as much as going from 1.6td to tdi, but not far off. I did have a problem with one of the chargecooler pipes coming off after fitting the chip...

Re: what engine code ok for TDI or TD convertion?
I'm running the same as Ewen 1Z with 3H box and bigger wheels. I find it fine, it's never going to be a nice relaxing cruiser, but will sit at 65-70 all day up and down hills. Most of my driving is on good A and B roads, so I can just leave it in 5th most of the time as it will pull from 30mph, make...

Re: life span of a 1.6td
Mine had 310,000km on it, not sure of history as it was from Germany and not much paperwork. Just got tired trying to start it and putting oil in every 100 miles
Tdi in now with 80,000 miles on it, will be pleased if that gets to the same miles.

Speedo hub cover
Any idea where I can get one from, local VW dealer said they can't get one. It's the cover that the speedo cable goes through, not square anymore, so no speedo.
Thanks
