I,ve noticed I dont have any rubber bellows , should it have some , and what are their purpose? It has a rubber boot over the ball , but no bellows.

which side should the bracket be on ? and surely its only a guide for the linkage to run through how can it affect the adjustment or am I missing something? thanks.

Can anyone help, i've fitted a new gearbox front mounting on my 1.9dg. I had to drop the linkages down to get the mounting bracket off, i then replaced the mounting and simply put the ball and socket back . I didnt alter anything but now i can only get all the gears if i move the linkages by hand . ...

no the vans running fine I wondered if it would improve performance and or economy. thanks for the advice.

No the gearchange has allways been very positive . In all the replies everybody refers to the gear linkages , ive looked under the van and I can only see one linkage, a single tube , how can that go faulty?

Having struggled occasionaly to get my 4 speed out of first gear , it now refuses to point blank to come out , whether engine running or not. theres plenty of oil in it and the clutch is good (it doesnt feel like its dragging).Any ideas? . If its terminal am I better off sourcing a used box or have ...

clutch has only done about 9000mls Lawrie Pettit replaced it along with the engine .If it was the clutch would it not affect the other gears?

Can anyone tell me why when my van gets hot I sometimes have to struggle like hell to get it out of first gear? .Rest of gears are fine.

Can anyone tell me where the earth lead that bolts to the alternator body goes to , mine has broke and I cant find the other end . Thank you.
