well - got a new switch from GSF - fitted it - and........

fan still doesnt work :cry:

looks like its gonna be a dash out / new motor job - ahhhh well, its only money :roll:

heater motor

ive searched the wiki and there's just a topic about removing / replacing the motor my heater motor only works on "number 3" - and only intermittentley at that. Is the resistor a separate item to the motor itself, or will i have to shell out for motor ? also - i notice that brickwerks sell...

my german 1989 2.1 multivan came with a factory fitted eberspacher - the unit is under the R+R bed with the controls set into the dash ive been playing with it today, and it comes on, blows cold for about 2 minutes, then turns off so - i'm assuming theres : A) no fuel coming in B) not spark (or what...

My 1989 2.1 multivan's heater fan is a bit temperamental......i doesnt work at all on "number 1", and on "numbers2 & 3" it works intermittentley - it'll start out ok, then slow down, then speed up, then stop, then start again, etc firstly - is it easy enough to get to - secon...

Good point on slotted discs. I must admit when I fitted brand new discs and pads, the braking was transformed. Are the slots not more about cooling though or do they actually add to braking power? anything which helps cool the brakes also aids braking power - hot brakes lead to brake fade - the slo...

thanks for the comments guys - its always good to have a balanced discussion and make a decision from that i'm running a 2.1 multivan as my daily doing the commute twice a day and the occaisional longer slog to a show / the coast to be honnest, it will all boil down to how much cash i have at the ti...

if so, what dya think - will be going through some of the mechanicals on mine this autumn winter, and a full replacement of the braking system is possibly on the cards anyway, so i thought about going that extra mile..

i'd have thought the best way to impove fuel consumption is to drive everywhere at about 56mph, because that seems to be the best consumption figures listed :P

just had some work done on the van - a 1989 german 2.1 multivan - and ive been advised that the wrong fuel pressure relief valve has been fitted the attached pic shows...the spigot on the top is where the pipe that feeds fuel to the injectors attaches - and its currently held on by a jubilee clip. looks like i'll be taking a trip to pirtek then - theres one in bradford so not too far away at all

whats best - totally removing the old pipes and taking them to use as templates ? or measuring and taking dimensions ? do they do a "while you wait" service ?
