Re: Fitting 16" merc SLK alloys

Yeah got the exact same wheels on mine, you will need a minimum of 6mm spacers on the front, longer studs on the back, change the front from bolts to studs, oh and you will have to drill out the stud holes to 14.2 mm. If you need any more info let me know S.B.

not running smooth

Hi Coloured Funk, i suggest changing the thermostat (fellow 2.1i owner) it totally changed the way my van drove, it's cheap even though it means you have to re-bleed the cooling sytem. Just to add a note my symptoms were pretty bad, give it a go, you might be very surprised. Strangely Brown.

Wiring up-grade

Hi, whilst i did'nt use Mr. Baxter's wiring up-grade my mate did it, i would suggest buying one of Mr. Baxter's because the the bottom line is, it makes a bloody huge differance to your lights. You can actually blind other road users for a change.

Mine has Sport on the back and, it deffinately is not a cut-down or rip-off, i know this because there are only two holes even when you look inside but, then it is also a Dehler/Westfalia.

replacing heater cable

just undo the cable at both ends, and then with electricians tape, tape the bottom end of old cable to top end of new cable and gently pull out the old cable, new cable will have to follow.

The van was surging / bucking whilst in slow moving traffic, decided to try and adjust the idle control switch, right in the middle of the proceedings it started to rain, dissconeted the ohm-meter in a panic...
