You are lucky to get 300 miles to a tank, just worked mine out to be 18.5mpg and only getting about 250 miles to a tank.

Hi, I have the opportunity to buy a second hand set of Weber 34 ict carbs, manifolds, linkages etc. They were originally fitted to 2.0 CJ Bay engine but I would like to fit them straight onto my 2.0 CU engine from an early T25? Does anyone know if they will fit OK or will I have to change the manifo...

Well I still haven't replaced the master cylinder, that's my next job, but the funny smell seems to have passed. Perhaps it was caused by me revving the engine?? However, I got stuck in a very muddy field today, the wheels were just spinning. It may sound like a stupid question but is it right that ...

Hi,

I can't help you much, but I too have a 1980 Westy and it has a hydraulic clutch...are you sure it has a cable??

Thanks for your comments, I will change the master cylinder first and see if that makes any difference - I think not but if it is leaking then I need to do it anyway. I have been considering whether or not it is the brakes that are the problem, I will get chance today to jack it up and have a good l...

Hi there, The clutch on my my 2.0 Aircooled Westy has started to slip (I got stuck on a gravel drive on Xmas Eve).
