It's possible that you are either running unmatched tyres (common for the Syncro-ignorant) or that the VC which transfers power to the front wheels is too tight after years of wear (it happens). Also possible is that you have one of the lockers stuck in. So, could be a number of things. Let's find o...

Either take it to Audi Volks in Keynsham, or MAD workshop in Kingswood. I've dealt with MAD and Arthur who runs the workshop knows his stuff if it's a straight-down-the-line VW.

First check that the injector pipe unions on the end of thepump are all nipped up. You'll need a 17mm spanner to do this. If this hasn't fixed it, look up LS UK or 'diesel specialist' in your neck of the woods on yell.co.uk and get them to sort the pump for you. Diesel pumps generally aren't user-se...

I have a Range Rover waiting for something to happen All Range Rovers are 'waiting for something to happen'. They're waiting for the next thing to break. It's not unusual If you're going to the effort of putting another engine in then you might as well choose something that actually fits. There's a...

Contact Syncronutz or Simon Baxter to discuss an engine conversion like this. A TDI is very complex wiring-wise, or very expensive to replace the electronic pump with a mechanical one. You'll note pretty much everyone else on here writes in whole words, not childish txt typ, m8. Take a little...

I'm running a taller third and fourth gear from Long Enterprises. They're also heavier duty too - about half the tooth pitch of the standard gearset. Believe me, it's a LOT taller than standard. My previous gearset was on 4.86 diffs with a 0.86 top gear. I now have 0.77 top, if you wanted they'll go...

Stuff like mappable ignition and a big fat dizzi similar to that Of Germman's will also contribute to better running as it will ensure a much more complete burn of the fuel charge per cycle. There's always the possibility of using a WBX bottom end, but air cooling on the tops, known as an 'oxyboxer'...

.i might be able to get some porsche heads Aren't Aircooled Porsches normally 6 cylinders? So wouldn't the bottom end of your engine be rather missing two cylinders? Talk to Germman about a/cs - he drag-races a 2.0CU motor that's been breathed on. Aircold engines can be built up in a performance st...
