Re: More drip drip drip stories

my engine was leaking loads of water last year and i got all the air out of the water system and put 2 cans of k-seal in.

done a lot of miles since them, lake district, france tour, the engine still isnt leaking nearly a year later.

Martin i had a spare 5 minutes this morning and tried this - it worked! van is running much better too without so many backfires many thanks for the top tip. new cap should arri...

Re: firing on 3 cylinders, got shock......

thanks for the responses. the van didnt really want to start at all after swapping the right hand leads round. and i only get a shock from the plug cap with the lead that runs to the cylinder that origially wasnt firing. took the spark plug out of both. bit black and dirty on the 'bad' cylinder, oth...

Re: firing on 3 cylinders, got shock......

thanks, i'll do that in the morning.

if it turns out to be a faulty lead, where is the best place to buy a new one?

or do i have to buy a whole new set?

also, is it ok to drive on 3 or will it damage the engine?

thanks again,

andy

firing on 3 cylinders, got shock......

hi all, van has been running badly so i took off the spark plug leads in turn - and found that it was running on 3. also i got a shock from the lead that is running to the non-running cylinder when i'd taken it off with the engine running (didnt get a shock off any of the others) so i guess i may ne...

Re: Camping in the Lakes - late October

weve just booked a mini lakes tour. two nights at wasdale and then two at great langdale NT sites. 2 kids 12 and 5. sounds like some of you go to the lakes regularly so any recommendations or 'must see/do' ?? we will likely take the van out a day or two as well as fairly gentle walks from the site. Re: Child sleeping solutions in an AS high-top

Re: Autosleeper thread

hey great thread guys, not been around in a while but my autosleeper is still serving the family well. lpg conversion a year or two ago was a good move too - although it used some of the storage space up... i have a bit of a problem with my '85 model - the carpet type stuff that is used to cover the...

hi all, just a quick update, my little girl is now 3.5 and still sleeping on the cot mattress on luggage rack with bed saver as described earlier in the thread. she seems to really like it in there and it has worked well for a year or so now. i would recommend it as a good solution for small child b...
