Re: GOWESTY OIL PUMP
Oh and Marco Mansi makes excellent o ringed and blueprinted pumps and will ship to UK, he is on Facebook Had a look at these. Look interesting. Maybe an oil pressure gauge might be a good idea. I see an old post with comment by itchy feet has a picture of a relocation kit. https://club8090.co.uk/fo...

Re: GOWESTY OIL PUMP
I was reading MELLING AFTERMARKET The more oil flowing through a restricted area of the engine, the greater the pressure. Oil pressure is directly related to the clearances in various parts of the engine; as the clearances increase, so does the capacity for more oil flow. But when the engine’s need ...

GOWESTY OIL PUMP
Hi I am thinking of fitting a high flow GOWESTY oil pump https://www.gowesty.com/product/bundles-and-kits/24147/high-volume-oil-pump-kit-" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Does anyone have experience of these? I don't know if they ship to UK. Is there any reason not to fit one...

Re: Coolant leak
I found the leak. Hose clip rusted and not tight enough.
Topped up header tank. Coolant bit mucky in there.
Expansion tank coolant is pristine.
Does this mean it's not being used?

Coolant leak
Hello
Drove about 100 miles yesterday for bank holiday weekend. Couple of hours later noticed coolant dripping of exhaust manifold. Put container under van overnight and collected about half litre. The expansion tank level hasn't dropped at all. Why would this be?
Halfords nearby so will top up today.

Re: 4 speed box gearbox issue
Thank you Aidan for an excellent investigation. A very impressive breakdown of all the problems found. How we managed to tour Scotland and Orkney iIslands last summer with the gearbox in that state amazes me. Van was sold to me as a much loved show van in Oct 2017. It is solid and has nice paint job...

Aidan
Thank you for the reply.
See from your website you are not taking any rebuilds.
Do you have any recommendations for gearbox rebuilders.
We are in Liverpool so anywhere in North West is preferred.
I know of bears motorsport in the Midlands.

4 speed box gearbox issue
Got a 4 speed gearbox fitted to our 2.1DJ. We find that it is impossible to change from 3rd gear when van is at standstill. When van is moving gear changing from 3rd is fine. Issue has always been the same since we got the van. We try to make sure we have changed down before stopping but at times we...

Van is in storage at moment.
I do have a spare gearbox.
Code for that one is
ABB 04 12 4
though the second B might be a re stamp.

Gearbox for 2.1 Dj
Hi
Ive looked at gearbox codes for 2.1DJ.
Will other gearboxes fit this engine?
I ask because I currently have a 4 speed box which is probably not standard.
Van used to be 1.9 but changed at some time to a 2,1.
