got this sorted now, thanks for advice. unfortunatley we managed to snap a bit of the thermostat housing off when trying to get the bloody clip off. (plastic bit which went inside the pipe). managed to get it plastic welded though, so fingers crossed we'll be fine for beatherder this weekend, and ca...
