Re: Speedo Calibration woes.
Thanks Aiden, will check that tomorrow. Both speedos read about right compared with GPS in terms of mph. I’m just wondering which set of shift points designated by the dots is either correct for my engine/gearbox combo or at least the closest, then I’ll fix the odometer on that speedo. When I’ve fou...

Re: Speedo Calibration woes.
Thanks, that makes sense. Does anyone have any ideas on the gear change dots and different speeds for different engines/gearbox’s? I also have another speedo, 820 again, but the dots are much further up the rev range. I’m not so bothered about the slight over reading but would like to pick the speed...

Re: Electrics in the gas locker
I work at a boatyard and the inland waterways regulations would not allow that for the reasons you mentioned. Different regs though obviously so might be different. Not that helpful I guess.

Re: heater cables
Thanks
Your link was for the same kit I was looking at. Just using the solderless nipple will work but the hole in the arm is quite big like there used to be a different type of fitting?
Anyway will go with the nipple, thanks for your helpful replies

Re: heater cables
Hello, Thanks for the reply, that is really useful. Over Christmas I have removed what I have and more or less have what is in your pictures. I have the new cables and think I understand how they are held in the coloured sheath and how that is held to the bracket on the chassis. What I don’t underst...

Re: Heater control knobs
I realise this is an old thread but does anyone have this information for an 81 air cooled non blower camper? I have two cables that I think my top lever should control but one is broken/disconnected hence I’m not sure. One moves the flap in the air box in front of the gear lever the other I think s...

Re: heater cables
Hi I realise this is a very old thread but I’m also trying to return to original and working condition a PO cobbled together heating system on an air cooled CU engine 81 camper. I think the images no longer available in this thread could be quite useful to me. Are they still available anywhere? Thanks
