Wonder whether that conversion plate and engine mount etc would fit the Ford TDCI engine :) Plenty ponies available there, quite cheaply as well, quite a few 135 BHP diesels around from Ford in Focus, Mondeo etc The vw tdi is in a totally differnent league to the ford. Agreed. You just have to list...

Anyone put a 16v motor into a T3?

Seeing as its looking likely i've cooked my 1.6D :( I am considering a GTi implant as the simplest cheapest method of upgrading the power. I have been offered a 16v GTi motor for peanuts. I know they can be a bit tight to fit, but seeing as its a single cab pickup theres a bit more room than in a va...

Oh crap!! Stripped a sump thread :(

1.6 N/A diesel btw... I was fitting a new rubber exhaust mount earlier. The only way I could get it on was by taking the oil filler tube off. I started undoing the bolts and one did not feel nice. I decided to leave it and tighten it back up. The bolt did a few turns and popped out...then the same h...

Hmmm...the price of complete running cars on ebay could also be a factor

£300 for a legacy vs 3/4 times that for a VR6. And I wouldnt have to worry about those f**king timing chains again

Anyone done a VR6 into a T25?

When I eventually find my T25 I will be looking into an engine conversion to make it more suited to towing. Have just sold my Passat VR6 which was a great car. I was thinking the other night that for a 2.8 V6 its a very compact motor, and reasonably torquey too...has anyone done such a conversion? I...

What T25 to buy for a Tow Car?

I am currently looking for a T25 van to camp in, and use as a tow-wagon for my track car. Given my budget I can really only hope for a 1.9 wasserboxer or a 1.6TD. I am going to do everything possible to avoid a 1.6D/1.7D. Of the 1.9 wbx or 1.6td which would be the best to go for to do some towing? I...

There's enough people know what he did, and he's been reprimanded appropriately - doesn't really need referring to on here, it's done, all that's left is personal not club, and if you upset that many people, you're gonna get it back for a while, lets be honest..... And thats exactly what im talking...

It means that several people on here have something against the guy selling that van but no-one will actually say what is was that he did.

As a result every time he tries to sell the van, he gets a load of people giving him "pooh" for no reason.......

What have you used to hook up the 'pod? Obviously you get track info displayed on the head unit. Does it give you control of the ipod too?

Russel here: i wouldnt go near the Fix Or Repair Daily there are so many better engines out there to use. Seems to me most engines..even the popular ones have an achilles heel.... 1.9 DG with leaky head gaskets or a Subaru engine with a weak bottom end? Zetec sounds like a good plan to me.....altho...

Ah poor Thomas, somebody else got a magazine article before him!

Put your toys back in the pram and grow up.
