Re: Automatic gearbox help

Hiya,
These people might help. stantonautomatics.co.uk
They are just down the road from me and supposedly have a good reputation although I have, fortunately, never had to use them.

Not sure how good the newer water resistant types are though now.

Don't know why I said MDF.....senior moment?

Re: T25 interior storage units

Hi,
Would have thought the cost would be high to have something specific made. The answer might be DiY. MDF or ply and vinyl wrapped.

Re: LPG Propex Heater Service in or around London

Hi,
I had no problems with Propex when mine became faulty. Phoned them and they diagnosed the fault as far as possible over the phone.
Removed the unit, packed and posted. They kept me informed and it was returned in about 10 days.
Have put up with a lot worse 'outfits'.

Pop rivets

Hi,
Has anyone purchased a Pop rivet drill adapter 'thingy'? They all seem much the same , Amazon/ebay, just different prices and delivery times for the same item.
Seems like a good idea. Any thoughts?

Hi,
I forgot them. Have used them before. They are ok.
Thanks

Seats ...recovering

HI, Has anyone had, or can recommend a firm to recover my Autosleeper rear seats. Original is looking a bit tatty. Idea of cost would be handy. The foam innards are ok but it might be cheaper not to send the foam away and have new. Could probably DiY but I have enough to do. I am based in west Kent....

Re: Fridge grille

Hi,
Not snap rivets but they might do for something else I have going on.
Dometic ones are 'special' ie you are almost forced to use them. One of those items that are made for that purpose and nothing else will work and they can charge a fortune for a replacement.
Thanks anyway.

Fridge grille

Anyone got any idea where I can get the little buttons that hold the Dometic fridge grilles in place. Have lost one and cannot locate them anywhere on the web.

Re: T25 Auto Gearbox Issues (Newbie)

Hi, Have a 1.9 with auto box for the last 20 yrs. Very important that fluid levels maintained. I would not dream of moving mine without the correct levels. I also change the fluid every 3/4 yrs whatever the mileage. I think all you can do is top up the fluid [there is a dipstick] and change the filt...

Re: struggling to find a leisure battery that fits behind passenger seat

HI, Misinformation. It was so long ago that I raised the seats I had forgotten what I had done. It was not the runners that had the timber placed under them but the swivel base. The van came with the swivel already fitted, probably by Autosleeper, and the runners were bolted to that. It was the repl...

Re: struggling to find a leisure battery that fits behind passenger seat

Not sure that is very safe in the event of a accident .... how many starter batteries have you had in those twenty years by the way ?  Hiya, Why do you feel it is unsafe? The runners are bolted to the body of the van as they were originally. Number of batteries.....just had a quick look thro my rec...

Fridge Vent

HI,  I need a new bottom vent for my Dometic fridge. The lugs on the inner surface of the fixed frame have worn so the grille keeps popping out. Looked on line...best price £40 for a plastic grille. Must be joking. Think I will add 4No stainless screws to each corner and screw the grille on. Only ne...

Re: struggling to find a leisure battery that fits behind passenger seat

Hi, I have used a starter battery as my leisure battery for the last 20 years with no problems. The last time I looked at leisure batteries they seemed expensive. 1. I have a small solar panel on the roof for the 'leisure battery'. 2. I have raised the height of my cab seats by approx 1" so I c...
