Re: poss vapor lock
Hi All, Likewise, no stalling in the last week or so. Wifey thinks its due to the weather cooling down but we have been in hotter weather in Europe before and had no problem. The engine has only stalled once after I fitted the non-return valve and that was over a week ago now. I took the van for a r...

Re: poss vapor lock
Hi Dave, Well two scratched foreheads could be better than one :D Have you managed to re-create the fault on your drive. I have taken the van out for a spin, got everything running hot and then parked it on my drive, switched off, come back after 20 mins, started fine as normal and then waited for t...

Re: poss vapor lock
Hi Dave, Likewise I am getting good at picking stopping points where I have a clear run for 5 mins after starting again. This seems to give enough time for the pump to get fuel up to the carb but if there is a junction or roundabout within 100 metres then I may as well put my hazards on :( . I like ...

Re: poss vapor lock
Hi Dave, Its not much help to you, but I am getting exactly the same problem and always seems to stall at a T junction or car park entrance 20-30 yards from where I started  I have now fitted a non-return valve http://www.thornycroftparts.co.uk/Non_Return_Fuel_Check_Valve_One_Way_Petrol_Diesel...

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestions. While the world watches THE wedding, I`ll be enjoying myself.
I`ll let you know how far I get.

Hot starting problem with 1.9 petrol
Hi, I`ve started having problems with my normally reliable 1.9 petrol engine. Over a weekend away it cold started fine and ran for 30-40 mins without problem. Then when trying to restart the engine `hot`, it starts, runs for a minute and then stalls and refuses to restart. After much playing around,...

Re: Door handle spring
Hi,
Thanks for the advice, looks like a new handle and swap the lock barrel seems the way to go.
Cheers

Door handle spring
Hi All, While giving both front doors a good refurbish, I have noticed that the return spring attached to the trigger catch on the outer handle has given up the ghost. Does anyone know if its possible to change the spring without too much grief. All I`ve been able to find are complete replacement ha...

Thanks for that, I`ve just taken the rear cupboard out and removed the side panel and still don`t see how I can get a 3-point belt in. I`ll go for the lap belts for now (better than nothing) and have a good look at it over the winter when we strip the van right out. Thanks for your input, at least I...

Rear seatbelts in an Auto-Sleeper
Hi Everyone, I`ve just bought a T25 Auto Sleeper conversion and have lots of future plans but the first one has to be rear seatbelts, not the most exciting mod but needs as needs must. Ive checked over the other posts on the forum but most refer to rock and roll beds which we had in our old T2 bay. ...
