Towbar electrics wiring listing for reference
Hi, I just bought a new (well, older actually) van, and am taking a few bits out to move across to the new one. One such item is the towbar, I've noted all the connections down for the refit when I pick up the new van, so thought I'd note them on here, as much as anything else so I know where I've p...

Re: Gap between front seats?
Cool, i just tried searching on those part no's and found some German sites, but not easily navigable.
There was a traders list for the BV Festival on their website, but he was just one of those kind of autojumble guys with loads of stuff in a van. He had 3 of these though.

Re: Gap between front seats?
Hi, thanks for the App update, works a treat. See the pics below. The first one (if it's good enough quality) shows the part number and the anchor screw (1 of 3 such holes) http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac219/dubmagique/van/d8d30b6a.jpg http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac219/dubmagique/van/77...

Re: Gap between front seats?
Hi, I have the photos on my iPhone, but I think I need to set up an online photo thing in order to link to them - is that correct, I've never uploaded photos to here before. I can't do that as I am at work and they seem to require a software download, therefore I will try to remedy this evening. Alt...

Re: Gap between front seats?
I'm at work at the moment, but will do my best to get one tonight for tomorrow. They were £20 by the way. I've had look for pics online but can't find one.

Re: Gap between front seats?
For an alternative with more flexbility, I got a DAF truck console with cupholders and lockable box in the back. It screws to the floor (though mine's fixed with velcro - like everything else). Bit of a winner if you have, or may have, swivel seats at any point. Chappie at British VW Festival had th...

Re: dash tray mods
Hi, kind of related, thought might be of interest - at the British VW show last Sat I picked up a centre console from a DAF truck. It has 2 cupholders and a lockable box behind. It fits in the walkthrough without fouling the handbrake, and is low enough to a:> climb over, and b:> allow my psngr side ...

battery question
Hi I have a split charge system in the van (homebuilt), now i have been using a 'standard' battery as the 'leisure battery' which i'm aware is not ideal because of the differing structures of leisure and starter batteries and yada yada, but I had one lying around and have been using it with a mind t...

Re: Pop up Gazebo - would recommend as awning
Even better - it is square, and the 4 'sides' are separate, so have 2 'door' panels and 2 'window' panels, which can be hung in any configuration you could desire.
It was available in other colours 2. I like the black, but it will probably fade!

Pop up Gazebo - would recommend as awning
Hi I just received the below for £70. I haven't 'used' it yet but have put it up and offered it up to the side of the van - better than an expensive awning and truly 'drive away'. Alright it doesn't seal to the van, but it's not bad! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-5-x-2-5m-Black-Pop-Up-Gazebo-FULLY-WATERPR...

I Can Paint Roof? and Tyre Pressures
Hi all 2 questions to entertain your keen minds if I may.... 1. The respray on my van is not too shabby, apart from the roof. Currently the van is (nearly) Tornado Red outside, and original Alpine White inside. I would like to respray the roof Alpine White to a: re-do the not very good job already d...

Ceiling covering in rear.
Hi I have covered my previously bare ceiling in (tis a tin top) lead flashing, then glued/taped a layer of foil insulation (the bubble wrap type stuff) over that, and now would like to ply/hardboard line. Trouble is, I can't see the best way to do it. I bought a sample piece of hardboard, and find t...

Re: Any pics please of interior twin sliding door camper please?
I can't get any pics on for some reason, will work on it. I have a twin slider and a full width r'n'r. To be honest that doesn't leave a lot of room for owt else. I prioritised a swivel passenger seat so that diminishes the space further. Getting to stuff under the bed is annoying, particularly if t...

Help with foglight mounting position please!
Hi
I've just got a couple of Hella Comet 550 Rectangular fog lights for the van, i'm going to mount them on top of the (metal) front bumper, but am not sure exactly how far apart etc - does anyone have a measurement for factory fitted centres?
Many thanks
Chris
