Paint/Body question??
Hi
I am having to replace three of the wings on my T25 and as i was cutting them out found that there was a white coating between the paint and the metal. It is quite thick and at first i thought it was filler!! Is it ment to be there as it apears to be on the whole pannel?

Hi all
I am currently doing a conversion on a carravelle and i am going to fit a complete VW camping interiour. I was told that i could get the V5 changed to motor home insted of PLG!!! is this right and are there any benifits to doing it?

Fuel Tank Paint??
I have removed the petrol tank from my van and it looks abit worst for wears.. i want to clean it up and paint it, can i use any paint or should i be using something special??

I replaced the seal around the auto box, cost £16 From VW, plus about £12 for the dextronII, took about an hour without ramps, slowed the leaks by 95% the other leak is fixable, not been brave enough to do it yet thought I'd hate the auto box, but absolutly adore it...if its possible to adore a g'b...

When i read your topic about problems with your auto box .You said the ATF fluid had leaked out so it must have been replaced with new as you discribe it as bright red.If you have not tested on the road you obvously still dont no if the autobox will hold and change gear without slipping. Automatic Gearbox strainer - bits inside...
Am doing a full service on my 1985 1.9 Auto Petrol Caravelle. Have just removed gearbox sump and strainer to drain auto gearbox fluid. now it's all off i can see tiny metal fillings and what appears to be black bits in the strainer. The fluid a drainef was still bright red and seemed clean, no bits....

Cheers for the advice i will try it the ATF is still bright red so i think there isnt any burning. My personal view is that when it emptyied the first time it was a poorly fitted seal and the garage saw an opertunity to make a quick buck. I dont think there is much wrong but as i said i havent drive...
