hi Simon, we're in amberloup luxembourg side nr Bastogne, brilliant dutch run campsite in a tiny place called Tonny campingtonny.de I've taken your good advice and now moved on to the Orval great stuff. Cheers this parts guy :shock: I'm asking him for a bague de demarreur - a starter bush, he asks if I can bring it in tomorrow for him to have a look, of course I can it will be in the gearbox but he is welcome to look..... also 250€ for the starter . thanks, if its not Bosch he can have it back... Hi Everyone, We've made some progress and are now in Belgium, trying to buy a new starter motor, the people at the campsite have been brilliant but I need a model number for the starter, to buy a new one The van is 1981 2.0l Aircooled. I have an odd noise not quite a squeal but maybe a whine when turning the van over to start and it's very sluggish to start, when cold it will start still not 100% by a long way. When hot very difficult to start. Had AA out on the way to the ferry, it's since stopped over here and when it cooled dow...
