Re: LED warning lights for DASH voltage?
Glad your van passed it's MOT Kat. As your van was made in 1985, it may be Tax and MOT exempt now. Worth looking into. The link/manual you shared was made by a user (CJH) on this forum back in 2018. It's was made to replace the blue PCB ribbon behind the dash board on our T3's. He stopped making the...

Re: Brake lights always on my 1985 T25
But if someone vould'sdvise where to get a brake switch for this 1985 T25 that would be very helpful Brickwerks sell the switches and everything you will need to sort it out. Email them a picture of what you need, they are very helpful and knowledgeable. If your brakes haven't been bled in a while ...

Probably a sign that your speedo cable is on it's way out, come loose or that the speedo gauge itself could need some attention.

Re: Aftermarket Rev Counters
Does the new tachometer come with a trimmer potentiometer for calibration? Looks like a plastic philips head on the back of the tachometer.
If not, you may be better off with a different rev counter. Digital one's probably aren't best suited for our older vans.

What switch are you intending on removing? Headlamp switch? I've not heard of this issue before, but removal of the dash is a simple job.

Re: Dashboard PCB Replacement (CJH Design)
Some more updates. A new connection for aftermarket tachometers has been included on the Dashboard PCB. Much easier to connect now and no need to tamper with old wiring. The combined tachometer PCB had some connection issues working with the temperature and fuel gauge. This got upgraded and is worki...

Re: speedo dial diameter
Same part kept snapping on me. No sharp bends or kinks either. I have a spare speedo which may be worth testing though. I would like the original speedo to function, but I could honestly get used to just using my phone app instead. I usually have google maps on if it's not on the speedo app anyway. ...

Re: speedo dial diameter
I'm currently using a speedometer app on my mobile as I've broken 2 brand new speedo cables. I installed/routed them the same way as the old one, but they both lasted less than 10 miles.
I've ordered a 3rd cable from brickwerks, but the app has been working fine so far. The app was free too!

Re: LED (DOT approved) Headlights
Pretty sure that you cannot run LED lights legally on a UK vehicle if it did not leave the factory with them. I've even been told by 2 mechanics that if I installed LED bulbs on my T3, they would fail it on an MOT. I ran my previous daily with LED side lights (they were a nightmare to change), but I...

Re: GlowPlug Issues
Welcome to the forum. Is the van actually starting? It shouldn't need the indication light (or even the dash connected!) for the engine to start. You can manually give the glow plugs/bus bar 12v to get the engine started if necessary. How is the blue PCB ribbon looking on the dash? Check trace 14 on...

Re: Dashboard PCB Replacement (CJH Design)
I made some more progress this week. The factory petrol tachometer has now been converted to work with my diesel van. The red line is different, but the revs seem to match my aftermarket tach very closely. https://i.postimg.cc/Y9yz4txY/Screenshot-20260424-144526.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/V6HWSzFX/Scr...

Re: Dashboard PCB Replacement (CJH Design)
Temp and fuel gauge are there (and functioning!), but are not much good as they are hidden behind the Jetta RPM plate
A win is a win though!

Re: Dashboard PCB Replacement (CJH Design)
Some good news today, I managed to source a Diesel tachometer from a Jetta. Had some time to fiddle and test it with the latest PCB prototype this week and although it's not a perfect fit, it works! I may have a go at swapping over the PCB from the Jetta tachometer into the T3 tachometer I have. If ...

Re: Led 3-in-1 digital display temp/volts/oil pressure
More than likely not compatible with a T3. I don't believe any T3's (definitely not Diesels) came with a factory Oil Pressure sensor, so you would need to buy/fit an after market one and run a wire to the engine bay. Voltage could probably be wired in, but an aftermarket temperature sensor would pro...
