Just to update - I found Peter, a mobile mechanic (link below) to come out and sort the issues on my camper - he knows his T25's and is highly recommended :D

How to protect chips in paintwork

Hi, I have a few little chips in the paintwork on my T25, for example see attached picture. What would you recommend as something simple that can be applied to protect these - I am not too bothered about trying to re-paint them, just want to protect from rust issues really. IMG_0919.JPG thanks John

VW T25 mechanic near Bromley, Kent

Hi,

I'm looking for a mechanic / garage near Bromley, Kent, who has experience with VW T25's - does anyone have any tips?

For servicing, MOT's and sorting out any issues on my 1986 T25 1.9 petrol

I have used a local VW garage but am not that pleased with them tbh.

thanks

Re: Engine lid insulation

Hi - I am a new T25 owner (Hi!) - I have just bought some of this to sort out my old flaking engine cover insulation, great tip, thanks - one thing I wanted to check - is it an issue at all that the foil cover could reflect heat back into the engine and cause a higher temperature than the manufactur...
