Re: ADY hesitance and power loss.

Great news Kevin.  I have also experienced throttle body failure.  I now carry a spare one.  I love to see some photos of the exhaust set up, I really need to find a quieter solution.  I used a German intermediate exhaust into WBX single entry silencer. Company is https://www.auspuffhannover.com I ...

Re: ADY hesitance and power loss.

Just to finish this. I had the engine on the VCDS and it couldn't talk to the throttle body. Clearly there was an issue with the connection. So I changed the entire throttle body for another from a 16v The VCDS recognised it. Switched on and it set itself. Now the tickover is steady, acceleration sm...

ADY hesitance and power loss.

Just a few niggles with my recently fitted ADY. Rough idle, bogs under load, then at 3000rpm its all back. New bosch Lambda, replaced with OE MAF cleaned, replaced with OE TB cleaned TPS cleaned, mechanism checked FPR renewed CPS renewed New cap Arm Plugs No vac leaks Because of the hesitation and p...

Re: Golf Mk4

Any AGG head improvement would be identical on an ADY I assume?

Re: Syncro engine swap - DJ to AGG

I'm three weeks into my DJ to ADY swap.
I fitted a catalyser to mine by choice.

Only issue so far is a niggly power loss going through 2200-2800 if I floor it.
Im working on that.

Re: 1.9 DG Engine cuts out when warm

So have all the vacuum components been checked for any compramise?

A weak mixture comes in many guises.
And has the ability to stop an engine when the choke is off.

Re: Automatic choke issue

The choke is opened and closed with a bimetalic spring inside the choke housing.

The choke is adjustable once set up as per the haynes.

To see if the choke is connected to the spring or if the spring has broken the housing must be removed

Re: Semi traction wet lead acid batteries?

I use my van all year round without hook up. It's my hotel room. After many years of trial and error I have finally settled on the perfect combination. I had a Webasto HL32 petrol heater that I liked on in the evening and all night. It drew 2.6A starting, while fast heating at 3.2kw, then when desir...

Re: Heat observation

Assuming it's Blos, a simple test would be to just richen it up by a quarter turn of the outer ring and retest up the motorway. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk No blos. It's just the old OMVL open loop with two powervalves. I ran it up to 3000 rpm and turned in the big screw on the vapour...

Re: Heat observation

Yeah I thought so too.
So I got it checked on a gas analyser and it read .95 on the Lambda reading at idle.
Which seems pretty much ok.
Timing at 10 deg btw.

Very odd.
I thought there may be another reason.

Heat observation

During my hot trip in France, and on a long flat part, it was observed that the engine running temperature increased slightly on LPG. At 70 mph the temp indicated "12.00" on the guage or the needle covering the led. I had noticed this before, so as the road was long and flat I switched to ...
