Hi, if you are loosing a lot of fuel you really need to see if you can find a leak. Have a good look at the expansion tanks and fuel filler pipe these are quite common faults.

Not sure about the whole LPG scene, but last time my bus would not idle I found it was a break in the wire that runs from the coil to both the carbs, replaced the sucker and we were back in business. Maybe worth a look.

Cheers guys, the tank is already off and in the skip, so no worries there. RIght will get a new filler neck etc ordered. I have to say it dig look a bit of a pig when I saw all the hoses on top.
Had a look on the wiki could not see anything about the hole sizes

Hi, my guess would be as you are only using 12v to keep the temprature maintained you should not notice any extra use of fuel, as the fridge will only call for power when it needs a bit of a boost.

Petrol tank neck size

Hi all, I recently found a hole in the petrol tank on my 81 bus. So I purchased a replacement petrol tank, but found the hole where the filler goes is a smaller size 50mm. I am unable to fine a replacement tank with the larger hole 70mm to accept the metal filler neck. I am thinking I can just buy t...

I went through the same pain. I use a soft brush and a vacuum clearner round the pilot etc. whilst you are on it check the gas lines and the elec.
Thats pretty much all there is to it.

Maybe worth having a look in the old haynes manual, there is an article in there about adjusting the gear lever an the whole selection thing and the alignment. Hope you get to V

Cheers Glen, I tried to losen the old grub screw, no joy, so have been soaking the in oil. Fingesres crosses they will start to move soon.
