That's a great help, thanks Bigherb. I suspect I'll be needing the whole alternator...

Aircooled 1.6 CT - Heater fan assembly
Hi. I was investigating why the heater doesn't work in my sister's camper this weekend only to find that complete basket fan and housing assembly is missing from the front of the alternator. Any idea if these are still available anywhere, or if not can one from a 2.0l CU engine be adapted? Also does...

Re: Hot start 'no crank' 1.9 dg
What Chris7ian said. This problem is really common on T2s and a hot start relay is the answer. The problem is that the starter current has to flow through wiring that runs all the way from the battery/starter at the rear of the van, to the ignition switch at the front, then all the way back to the r...

Re: T25 1980 1600 CT Carburettors
Thanks Sarran1995 Much appreciated but a bit late I'm afraid, it's already done! :) Actually there was little wrong with the original carb, it's just that the bus was so underpowered. I did a health check on the engine and compression was good so it was twin carbs all the way. In my experience this ...

Hadn't spotted that, thanks!
Anyone else heard of/had experience with fitting this kit/these carbs to a 1600 CT engine?

Re: T25 1980 1600 CT Carburettors
Hi all. This is my first post on here, though I'm a regular to VW's as I have a 1972 Bay window T2. I know this is an old post but hopefully Wobba is still listening! I've just fitted this same carb setup to my sister's 1600 CT T25. I had to mess around with linkage lengths and generally found clear...
