They seem to have realised that, now £22k. Perhaps another couple of £4k drops needed?

Re: Rear kitchen - what a shame

The market speaks since the van is still listed whereas KGF normally have a higher turnover of stock. Now what about this Bullibarn one? Still hot on price though .. https://www.vwbullibarn.co.uk/black-white-brazillian-danbury Ignore url, I guess they recycled it for this van ad. Imagine waking up t...

Rear kitchen - what a shame

For years I have been hankering after a T3 and one has just popped up on KGF Classic Cars. If this had been a side kitchen layout with R&R bed, I would be up there like a shot but the bed layout is putting me off (as is the upholstery but I have to accept it's of the period). How comfy is the be...

A very common misconception. WD stands for "water displacement", regular WD40 is not designed as a penetrating oil (although the firm does do a penetrating oil). Plus Gas works well, or even cheaper, diesel fuel painted on and left overnight.

Re: Battery Tester .. what should I buy

You don't need the tester but a conditioner to keep it trickle charged. CTek are the best make but Aldi do an equivalent for around £14 from time to time.

Re: Do 2.1 alternators fit 2.0 Aircooled CU engines?

^^^ and not forgetting that you are sapping more horsepower with a more powerful alternator. Even if you were drawing max power 65A instead of 45A, that's 20 amps at 12v. Say the alternator was only 65% efficient at converting engine power into electricity, then that's equivalent to 370 watts, abou...

Re: New Van - Split charge relay wiring issue?!?!

I have used a company called Vehicle Wiring Products many times in the past. They even sell a pre-wired relay to save making up yourself.

Don't try to pry them off, try a good knock from side to side with a rubber mallet.

Looks great! Does the foam board have a trade name? or is it some form of roofing product? It's called insulation board and goes under trade names of Celotex, Kingspan, Ballytherm etc. It's very common in house construction. I'm just stripping my ceilings upstairs, removing plasterboard and install...

Re: Windscreen wipers

My daily car is a 12.5 year old Audi A4 I've had since new. Even if it was worth nothing today, that would equate to a depreciation of £32 a week which is pretty cheap considering the thing has been one of the best all round cars I've had. One thing though, I have bought wiper blades from Halfords, ...

Re: Odd, what's going on?

I don't know these engines at all but generally the heater is on the main block of the engine circulation and running the heater is a good way to cool an engine if the thermostat is stuck closed. That's what I'd be looking at first. If the pump was knackered, you'd probably hear it and the heater wo...

Re: Creating a 24v circuit from my 2 leaisure batteries

Well.... have you just used it on 12v as intended? I wondered that. As it copes with dual input voltages, if it doesn't work on 12v I can't see how 24v will kick it into life but then I don't know what the "polyfuse issue" is. Is your battery voltage high enough? If the battery monitor is...

Re: To Subaru or not to Subaru ? ?

From a potential buyers point of view, as much as I admire Scoobies, I think the real value is in originality. These vans are going through a transition period where they aren't quite classics in the sense of T2/E Type Jags etc but are getting there. In years to come, there is only one way prices ar...
