Re: Rear wheel bearing play?
I replaced my front and rear wheel bearings last week in preparation for next weeks MOT. I used B&B Component parts off Ebay. Febi Bilstein bearings. Parts arrived next day. Had a bit more that normal play in rear and a quiet rumble from front. All good now. Those are the ones I have too.. and ...

Re: Exhausts and MOT
The information on your fail certificate plus a conversation with the tester should answer your question. The certificate says: 6.1.2 (a) (a) Exhaust system has a major leak or is insecure https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles/6-body-s...

Re: Rear wheel bearing play?
There is by design a bit of play. The problem is a lot of MOT places do not know this. How much play is normal? I replaced my nearside driveshaft and bearing just over a year ago (using these bearings https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CAMPER-TRANSPORTER-T25-REAR-WHEEL-BEARING-KIT-C238/190682982040) and...

My 1.9 wasserboxer used to have a small leak (a few drups here and there so didnt bother me too much), but on our way home this summer holiday it had a sudden loss of all oil. Leaking between the engine and the gearbox... In the end we got home on the back of a recovery truck.. From doing some inves...

Waterpump for sink recommendations
Hi all, The waterpump in my van is showing signs of age.. sometimes it simply refuses to work... I've disconnected the old watertank underneath the van and now feed it from a plastic bladder in the cupboard where the pump is.. Sometimes lifting the waterbag helps.. sometimes it doesnt.. So I'm looki...

Re: Reader Rides (trial thread)
Hi All, I posted a couple of pics in the "What did you do to your T25 today" thread, though thought I would add a fuller post here! On to the wheels. I absolutely had to get the F*rd wheels off. I am a VW lover and they simply wouldn't do! From the start, I knew I wanted original steels a...

Re: Won't restart if engine is hot...
It's fixed! :D :D :D It seems the biggest issue was a worn fuel pump not functioning well when hot. This has been replaced along with the push rod. Also work done on the ignition - new coil, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor arm and HT leads. Whilst the issue was fuel not ignition, all these part...
