Swapping TF1171 vsr for tf1170-3 vsr

Good morning all has anyone swapped a ryder TF1171 for a tf1170-3 if so was the wiring simple enough it would appear the TF1171 vsr has popped and is no longer available and the recommended replacement is the tf1170-3 vsr but the wiring diagram (to me) is as clear as mud Any help would be greatly ap...

All sorted now and thank you all for the advice........re routed cable and made sure sleeve was pushed up.....and that the grease cap was on square this time..... :rofl

Presuming that you've bought a later type speedo cable with a push on connection and that it's a Gemo branded cable then you need to make sure the white nylon sleeve is fitted correctly and pushed right up to the white plastic push on connector at the speedo end of the cable like so. https://brickw...

It could be that the little square hole in the grease cap on the left side is not driving the square end of the speedo cable inner consistently. If that's the case then you could try peening the area of the hole with a hammer against a lump of metal, to make it a better fit. Once it's working OK, s...

Good evening all its been a while......  :? ......i have just replaced the speedo cable with a new 1 from JK......when i took betty out for a test drive the speedo dial bounced and clicked ive tested the clocks with the cable connected to the clocks and the other end to a drill and it runs fine........

battery location

good evening all ive been quiet for a while but i know have a question......how much of a job is it to reposition the starting/cranking battery from under the drivers seat to the battery box rear nearside in engine bay......betty is a 1.9 dg

Ok ive found the yellow/red wire (whats left of it) in the black juction box and the brown with thanks from the help.....the next question is.....is there a positive and neg on the sender.....with the plug attached they will only fit one way..the correct way....or is it just making a circuit connect...

Hi sorry..... 1.9 dg 1986 the wires below....im hoping have uploaded were connected to the carb temp sensor 🤔 but when disconnected and bridged operated the temp gauge indicating they are the coolant sensor wires i have traced them back into the black box where they connect to.....i believe a yellow...
