No, it reacts to the temperature around it, opens up letting a cable move which is connected to the air flaps on top of the engine. Yours is one of the very rare type that is still working, by the look of it! Sent from my B1-830 using Tapatalk Very expensive to replace, so if it brakes its not gett...

Aircooled thermostat wire replacement

I cannot find the replacement wire that goes from the thermostat to the flaps and was wondering if any body has just used bike brake cable wire or any thing else instead as it looks similar and better than nothing i guess :D

Air filter looks like its ill, its been ill for a while ... crushed and clogged up ... needs to go! Can i put it back to standard ? Has my Carb been replaced to fit this thing ? Just looking at the jobs i want to do on the van and thinking im better off just buying a proper torque wrench and getting the tightness correct for each job. From Laser to Britool the prices are double but i imagine a Britool will last for the rest of my life. Problem is im not sure what size to ge...
