I'm going away in my camper tomorrow night and a cam follower has just exploded taking out a chunk of the cam.
Does anyone know if the 1.6 CS cam will work in the Aef? As I have an old Cs engine sitting at the workshop.

I'm looking to do some bodywork on the van and want to replace the NSF wheel arch, can anyone tell me where i can get an original vw type panel? (Most places only stock the repair skin type), heritage show them on the catalogue but there £210 and are on back order. http://www.vwheritage.com/_inc/img...

Right after much playing, The choke valve gap is 3mm when cold, the van idles fine at this, but as the engine starts to warm up the valve opens and the engine dies. I'm going to change the fuel filter, (but it looks clean), and the inlet to head gaskets, does anyone have any other ideas what could b...

ok, i now have the carb all wired up, but am still having the same problem. It starts and runs from cold for a minute or so, then stuggles for a bit, (reving then almost stalling then reving) before dying. Then when i start it again it runs for 2-3 seconds then stops. The only way i can keep it goin...
