I’ve noticed the lower pipe here on the photo doesn’t get hot while running the engine so could this be a stuck thermostat?

Hi David, yes I’ve checked the coolant levels and they’re both good. I haven’t tested the radiator, but I’ll do that.

Silly question, but where’s my thermostat located? my engines overheating and the fan switch also seized on me today.

Why would it be a bad thing ????? Not driven a high top but a friend HOTPOD has one and loves it !! U.K. Camping is always damp and windy .. the pop top doesn't leak but so noisy in the wind .. and I'm obviously camping and not just parked with a pop !! Are you using the three way switch on thermostat next to the ashtray to turn it on/off? If so do the leds still light up when in centre (off) position? If so sounds like dodgy thermostat unit but I don't think the early ones are too complicated inside. What happens if you turn thermostat to lowest ...

I recently got my old petrol Eberspacher D2L working, but now I cant turn it off!
Its blowing hot air, and I have to disconnect it from the leisure battery to bring it to a halt.
Any suggestions?
