Ok. Thanks for the help for all those who have participated.

I guess sawing off the excess bit of that screw coming off the backside of the alternator won´t do any harm either, so I´ll go ahead with the installation. Very tight spot where the ground earth is placed.

The aim is to isolate the main battery earth lead. Good thing to know that the kill switch does not propose a threat to the additional electronics wired to the plus lead. I'd still have to saw off the excess bit of the screw that is blocking the access to the bolt where the battery earth lead is att...
