I have disconnected the fuel cut off solonoid and I can here the solonoid working. I will try it straight from a jerry can of diesel and see if that works like you suggested. Hopefully I can get it sorted soon lol.

I did have a similar issue once and it was the Injector as it wouldn't change the running of the engine as it's not doing anything in the first place. Hopefully better than paying out for a compression tester.
