Re: AAZ Diesel Return Feed
:) Hi, if your having problems with the fuel spill pipes I'd check for restrictions in the main return from the pump , there's a large volume of fuel that heads back to the tank , the reason is to help keep the pump/injectors cool . the return pipe needs to be at least 5mm ID , if not you'll end up ...

Re: AAZ conversion turbo misery :(
Hi , have you checked , quantity of oil in the engine , I've seen the AAZ's with over 9 litres of oil in , because of the wrong dipstick used , next to check is the oil return from the turbo - does it look as though its got a good return ,

Re: Could inlet menifold leak coolant from underneath? 1.9 DG
:) the core plug will be rusted through , as soon as you touch it it might disintegrate just leaving the out edge , this will need removing to fit the new core plug , good motor factors normally have a selection in stock less than a £1 , if you get stuck you could link the rubber pipes together that...

:) Hi, you may also want to check where the outer cable is held at the front where it goes through the panel , early ones would start to pull through , I've had a search on wiki and could not find the details of this procedure , maybe someone could add this if not there already http://i145.photobuck...

Re: mTDI'ing 1Z Audi 80
What are the chances of the sprocket & woodruff key from the VP fitting the VE and having the correct timing? all will bolt up as both have 20mm spindle with the woodruff slot in the correct position , Do not change the main plunger 'n' head ( there'll be no great difference in diameter )it need...

Re: mTDI'ing 1Z Audi 80
:) Hi , it all depends on the Peugeot pump that you have and how the pumps cold start timing advancement is operated/camplate lift might be the same ( early tdi about 3.09mm ) but not as aggressive ,also have to think about the internal working pressure , if its a late pump it might be a good base ,...

Re: Just aquired an AFM engine but no ecu, need advice
Hi Mick welcome , The 1.9D N/A fuel pump will not be of much use for that engine type due to it not having an aneroid device + most probably only having the 17mm main spindle with narrow width bearings I've been building MTDi hybrid pumps to fit various engines including the VW TDi's and think this ...

Re: I think its terminal
Just spoke to elite VW, he recons I have probably burnt a hole in a piston. He said that the fan should not be hot or even warm and it sounds like heat is transfering through a piston to con rods and into the crankshalft. 1200 quid for a recon with fitting Anyone know anywhere cheaper? :( :( :( che...
