Re: Coil
Brickwerks are out of stock, but I would email them to find out when they will have stock. More expensive that the JK one, but genuine Bosch  :) https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/ignition-coil-electronic-ignition-pin-type-green-label.html Brickwerks have had no stock of these for a long while it s...

Coil
Hi, I have a late T25 with 1.9DG. It has a Bosch Green Label Coil which I believe has failed. No where has them in stock. Will this be ok: https://www.justkampers.com/211-905-115-d-ignition-coil-vw-t25-1900-2100cc-1984-1992.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or should I be...

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
We have the van back from Steve at Gasure UK and it is running like a dream. He cleaned the carb and made adjustments, he said the carb was quite clean anyway, went through all electrics and all checked out fine, long story short it was the tank, although the tank had been replaced quite recently it...

Modern ethanol containing fuel goes off very quickly and can clog up your carb.
Hi, no, it has had new fuel in. Its going in tomorrow, so fingers crossed it will be sorted.

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
Thanks for all your input, due to time or lack of it I have decided to let an expert have a look at it, luckily managed to get it booked in with Steve at Gasure next week.

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
I can only agree with the fuel issue scenario, I have had similar problems and it turned out to be crystals in the float chamber, give it full throttle and enough fuel will enter the chamber to dislodge the crystals from the fuel exit hole, however they will just settle back down and block it again...

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
Hall Sender is about £42, but new dizzy is expensive - that said, you can pick up a second hand one on eBay - this one will fit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232303955282" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If it doesn't change anything, just re-sell or keep as a spare :ok :ok

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
Do you have anyone close by who you could swap a distributor over with? I'm still erring on the side of Hall Sender. Hi, I don't no. My neighbour has a Karmann Coachbuilt but that's converted to Golf Drissel power, I'll ask around, how much is a hall sender? Or do you have to buy a full dizzy? Bric...

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
Is the coil hot when it conks out? I still think its fuel related High speed means you're on maint jet which is a channel tunnel compared to the idle jet which operates at low speed 1500 rpm Debris can still stop a carb at low speed I wouldn't say the coil was hot, warmed by the temp of the engine ...

Re: 1.9 DG WBX Running Problem
Or fuel hose replacement and clean out carb time! Sounds like it's possibly fuel hose degrading from inside due to ethanol in modern petrol. It can look ok from the outside, and still be knackered. As it's after the filter, particles can make it to the carb, even getting past the integral cone filt...
