Re: New battery drained to 4.4v in a week

Thanks Cobblers, got another battery on charge so I can connect jump leads and get trickle charging the new one. So very gutted :(

Nothing has been fitted alarm or immobiliser wise, it was pretty much untouched when I bought it, just aged!

Re: New battery drained to 4.4v in a week

Earth is super clean, by the way. I haven’t disconnected it, cleaned, rescratched etc, but it looks almost like it just rolled out the dealers!

New battery drained to 4.4v in a week

🙄 - Brand new (1.5weeks old 😖) Bosch S4 007 battery from Tayna…chosen after checking out the forums here (thanks Forums!) - Nothing but the clock is hooked up to it when stationary, except for a split charge relay for the leisure battery (stereo is hooked up to that). Charge on the LB goes up to 14v...

Re: Temp gauge reading high with warning light

Hey @rosar, did you get to the bottom of this is the end?  I had the same and couldn't find the issue.  Am hoping to go to VWEC for a new engine soon so would love to know the fix if you found it!

Re: Engine, coolant pipes & rad swap out...vs KSeal?

Thanks guys.

I was going to contact you, AJ, and was mentally ready to drive up to Grantham until I realised you had moved quite a bit further away!

Would you mind me giving you a call for a chat about swapping engines!?

Engine, coolant pipes & rad swap out...vs KSeal?

Following on from my last post (link here ) and some great level headed chats (thank you!), I have a dilemma.   Mags needs a new engine, no question.  The coolant pressurises.  It'll be no surprise to anyone that a new engine will be about £4k fitted.  I'm thinking I should really get all the pipes ...

Re: Insulation for the Tailgate

Hi Pete

I’ve used wool loft insulation but have put it inside thick plastic bags first (bit like rubble sacks) that I’ve then sealed up.

If you’re anywhere near Bromley/Croydon I’ve half a roll left and some of the bags if you want them!!

Re: 1.9DG turning over, won’t start - losing the will to keep her on the road...

I really don’t know - he didn’t list part numbers on the invoice. I do know that the offset bracket needed to hold the throttle cable in place (the wrong place) with the Weber was awful and meant the accelerator was super sticky - absolute horror to drive. My dear old dad took one look at it, made u...

Should’ve come to you!

After 14 months and 3 attempts at collection, 2 of which ended up on the back of a tow truck, I wanted nothing more to do with them.

Seriously considering small claims mind you.

Re: 1.9DG turning over, won’t start - losing the will to keep her on the road...

@oilrag...I saw his super good blog post. I also almost tried changing the front bushes myself after seeing his just as super good video about that! Honestly, I’ve spent more time in these forums and looking stuff up than I have driving the van. If I had the pierburg I’d be tempted to rebuild it. Sa...
