Re: Dash PCB options?

I used a cluster master and it’s great. Really easy installation and so far, reliable.

Re: Carburettor Issues

Roger vw bromyard is amazing, after he fixed my carb he sorted the cooling system. Luckily he did that because after a perfect drive to Cornwall a couple of weeks ago I got caught up in the hideous M5 4 hour delay on the return. The temp gauge went up and stayed in place as it should even after hour...

What's your average Mileage per year

Have been going through the paper work that came with our van and have listed the jobs done since 2010 for ease of reference. Having looked through the mots for the past 10 years have realised that the van has averaged a 1000 miles per year each year. I just wanted to know how far you go in yours......

Re: Carb problems

Thanks for such great advice.
Will look for the filter and clean it.

The Carb was cleaned by my local car mechanic. I was thinking of replacing the distributor body.
Do you think that it is worth replacing the distributor?

Re: Carb problems

Do you think I should get a carb refurb kit rather than replacing the entire unit?

Re: Carb problems 1.9 vege wbox petrol

Hello An update on a six month old post. Still having problems with the running of the engine when hot. So following advice from here have replaced dizzy cap, rotar arm, ht leads and coil. Today I put on a new ignition amp and took it for a run. In today's meeting with the AA after the ignition swit...

Can't believe you called the rozzers over that.
I was really angry. The Tesco staff suggested to call the Police so I did.

Advice

Someone dinged the wheel arch of my camper van today at a Tesco store car park. Too far away for cctv, no witnesses, hopefully not malicious and not one iota of interest from the police. Can anyone recommend a specialist to replace this wheel arch and give a respray or would my insurance sort that o...

Re: Carb problems

Booked vehicle in to my local garage. They are really good there and prefer the older model....will let you know what they say. Going to suggest all of the above so thanks for that.

I hope they don't get the wrong idea and start thinking I am familiar with engines if I use technical terms like those?

Re: Carb problems

Hi thanks for your 10p! Thought it may have been dirt in the one of the hoses. Going to try to do a bit of cleaning and checking tomorrow evening.

Carb problems

Hello I've a 1.9 petrol recon vege engine installed in 2006 in a t25 1988 vw. Had to get towed home tonight by a really nice bloke working for AA. The engine was running very nicely but then began to cut out completely as if there was too much petrol being pumped in which made it lose power and stal...
