good stuff - it seems that gasure are the people to go with when looking for conversion - however - £1000 sounds a bit steep ! Is this the normal going rate or does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?

hi - how does insurance normally work with lpg conversions - i.e. does it have to be done by a registered garage or is the van still insured if done dIY?

according to the gaz shop the regulator fits fine - they just said that they are not allowed to fill the kind of bottle that I have - its a sort of brownish coloured 5kg one

hi - 1981 ac seems to be running very fast at start up. After while and pressing down on the gas a couple of times the engine settles down to a normal speed.
I guess this is the choke setting -but should it do this - and does it need re-setting?

I have german t25 ac 1981 import with german gas bottle - I need a refill for europe trip - went to refill the bottle today at gas centre - they said mmmmm can't refill that bottle its not a calor...that'll cost you another 30 quid for a calor cylinder plus 11 for the gas. :evil: Does anyone know wh...

tested the vac pipes and everything was as described

stupid question myabe but btdc means to the right of the 0 mark and atdc means to the left of 0 mark - and when setting timing at idle with everything connected as normal the timing should be 5 degrees to the right...right?

ok - sure this is only a small problem but don't know how to fix car idling ok put foot down on accelerator slowly and engine increases revs proportionately put foot down quickly and engine does not respond proportionately i.e there is a sort of delay and a very small amount of black smoke :? any id...

says on laptop psu - i assume the point of interest is the output - 18.5v 3.5a

not sure about the ampage of the plug sockets - it was a german import - there are two sockets beneath the sink area next to the fuse box and one above the fridge. i'll be running laptop for few hours at a time - The 12-240v converters in halfords are 150w - i will not be running that much stuff but...

Does anyone know if there is likley to be a power supply that i can use for computer etc connected to the leisure battery or do i have to buy one of those can converter things from halfords?
I have plug sockets but no power - i guess these only work when external power is connected.

recently i had to replace the diaphram on both carbs - the metal notch on which was slightly smaller than before - i have adjusted the accelerator rod/screw which sits below the carb i.e opened the spring slightly - this now seems to be near its max - but still there is a touch of dark smoke coming ...

yesterday timed engine and changed dodgy ht leads and balanced carbs - seems now to tick over fine and runs ok :) - although when throttle increased there seems to be a slight darkening of the smoke, not by much just slightly - also the accelerating performance is not as good as I think it should be...
