Of course, Brickwerks are really the only decent source and they pretty much have everything! I've bodged it for now with a short piece of new pipe plugged with a nail!

Diesel leak - spurting from injector return line? 1.6JX

Hi helpful people, I've just returned from a long trip and when I got home the engine was smoking from diesel that appears to have come from the return line off the last injector (forward). The injector has just 20mm or so of pipe from the retrun to the open air! I don't think this is right, but it'...

MOT advisory - Steering rack inner joint - which part?

I have just got the truck back from the MOT with the following advisory:

"Play in steering rack inner joint(s) Offside."

Can someone point me in the direction of where this is and spare part on brickwerks?

Re: Sourcing fuel filters

OK, cheers. I'll just get the codes and replace each. I've no idea why there are two, generally my policy is 'if it's not broke, don't fix it"!

Sourcing fuel filters

Hi all, I thought I'd change the diesel fuel filters, just as I have no idea how old they are! I've looked at brickwerks and can't find them listed. Can anybody make any recommendations on where I can get some? I’m in need of two, as I presume is standard on the 1.6JX. Should they be identical? http...

Re: Hazard lights at 50%!

I just thought I'd follow this up as had the same problem. Turned out to be the switch was dirty. Removed the switch and carefully opened it up, the connections were very greasy, so cleaned them and now everything is good.

Re: Recommend a spring compressor?

I'll probably go for these, seems much more stable to be supported both sides.

Recommend a spring compressor?

Any recommendations for a suitable spring compressor for changing the springs on my syncro? Or should a generic one do?

Oil dip stick came apart! 1.6JX. Help!

Changed the oil the other day and the dipstick plug bit came off / apart!

The problem is I'm not sure at what position along the stick the end cap goes on, so if anyone has any pictures of theirs it would help me greatly. Otherwise I'm reading the oil level at the wrong position.
