whats the difference between the petrol and diesel 5 speed rear linkage? I'm guessing its longer?

so i am changing my van from a 5 speed 1.9 dg to a 1.9 1y diesel 4 speed... i want to use my 5 speed gearbox so i have swapped over the input shaft and bell housing but what gearbox mounting do i use?, will my 5 speed petrol gearbox mount be ok or should i use the diesel 4 speed mount or do i need t...

T25 water pipes
Has anyone used the old 32mm metal water pipes with 38mm later van hoses and just done up a few jubilee clips on each pipe? I'm in the middle of making a petrol van a diesel and found this problem today.

hello people. just bought another carb for my 1.9dg.. its the weber 34 dat. just a few questions.. do you block one of the vacuum pipes off or do you link it back to the airbox? I'm using the side port for the vacuum advance but the rear one is sucking a lot more than the other giving me way to much...
