Thanks Tom i'll check when i get chance, only bothered because i only took the engine out of my golf 1.9 non turbo because i new it was a good one with only 120000 on the clock,but when i was moving it the other day i noticed it at the bottom of the blockit has stamped on it D/TD so was wondering if...

I was just wondering what if any trouble peeps have had when changing from petrol to diesel regarding the change on the log book.

After fitting a 1.6td with the gtd pump the lid won't close so my question is rather than cutting an unsightly hole in it can i not just put spacer's between the engine bars and the chassis rail which will drop the engine, or would this cause problems.

The length a diesel throttle cable should be i bought one of flea bay and guess what its to short and not just by a little.

Thanks thats great but i have one more question, at the top right of the pic is the black cylinder at the end of the inlet manifold, where does the pipe from this go to and where does the breather pipe go to sorry to been a pain.
