RJES email?

Hi folks,

I need a replacement part from Richard and emails sent to the following address are bouncing (info@rjes.com)

Does anyone know if he has another email address?

And yes, I could call him but email from .au is much cheaper!

Cheers,

Andy.

Fair enough!

I thought you had decided on the EJ route a couple of years ago Clive, and had in fact bought an engine as well.

Is my memory going haywire?

Don't put your foot on the clutch until you are nearly stationary - it'll help a lot.
It is actually good driving practice to brake with the running gear engaged anyway.

Jon, the van is now a 2.5 litre Subaru powered camper, and resides in Perth so not far from you! I'm pretty sure the double cab is now in Victoria. If not it is in NSW. Both owners are members of the Australian T3 Syncro group. Photos can be found here: http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Syncro_...

Cornishpete it's a funny old world.
I shipped our 1990 Syncro from the UK to Oz when we moved home from Bristol in 2002.
I know of a couple of other privately imported UK spec'd Syncro's here but had not previously heard of any Aussie ones in the UK.

Another thing to check: make sure the nuts/bolts are tight at the mounting on the bottom of the transmission, on the drivers side (of a RHS!). When you are underneath the bus and the missus is wiggling the gear stick, the mounting should not move at all.

Good luck.

What is the last year that you have to pay tax on a vehicle at the moment?
It use to be at 25 years old no tax was required wasn't it?

For what it's worth, I have 215 70/16 BFG AT's on my 14" and haven't had to mod (read cut) the body work.
But I did have to pull the front wheels forward by tightening the lower struts (whatever they are called).
And of course resetting the wheel alignment afterwards.

Andy.

Thanks Aidan. I'll contact the chap and get back to you to let you know if he's interested.

Where did you get the info on the AVM code?
I looked here at Simon's info here:
http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... fo/gbx.htm
where it says 5.83. Just a typo?

Crown & Pinion Availability.

One of the list members of the Australian Yahoo Syncro site has needed to have his gearbox rebuilt. On disassembly it was discovered that the crown & pinion needed replacing. His gearbox rebuilder (a reputable and experienced VW and Syncro tradesman) was told that his C&P (5.43) were no long...
