OKAY Arrived safely back home yesterday, the bus didn't miss a beat. Looking at a 1988 2.1 WC Multivan Westi and having taken it for a spin noticed that the gears are reversed as below:

2 4 R
1 3 5

Can anyone tell me if this is normal or if its due to a conversion etc etc.
