Buying a van thats seen alot of wet weather driving on roads that have been salted then not using that van much will end up very rusty underneath, my ex UK caravelle will be having a full chassis rebuild in years to come, the Multivan needs that aswell but i cant afford to do both.

Look at Big Bue van resto go to page 4 and scroll half way down to the time when he was doing the rear corner panel.

Removal of the seat isnt going to make it easier, just open the door and have a go.

Be careful when you put the hose on the plastic inlet of the clutch master, dont bend it.

Don't know if this has been covered on here before, I did do a quick search but nothing came up Just to say that if using pressurized brake bleed systems, Don't pressurize at 20psi The plastic intake nozzle at the clutch master cylinder does not appreciate such pressure as I found out to my rather ...

The mount hole is 33mm , measured taken from NOS bracket.

Being a panel van it didnt come with a interior window surround panel so yours wont have any thing for the ply to attach to, for the front edge you need some small 90 degree metal brackets attached to the B piller .

VW never had an oil change interval so it must be good for a very high mileage.

Captains seat are the most comfotable seats, they have better padding, usually found in higher spec caravelle or multivan models , the type with adjustable armrests are fitted to 87 onward models.

97 mm measured on the valance without the tank in place.

If yours is snapped, it can be welded together , they sometimes break where the grub screw is located.
