Finally got the oil filler pipe off after much grief (should have dropped the engine )
Here's what I've found

I finally got the tinware off which allowed me to move the fan housing enough to get at the engine mounting bolts. I got access to the screw identified by bigherb, by removing the bumper, then a very long screwdriver though lower holes in rear valance and applying a lot of pressure to avoid strippin...

I need to replace the engine mounts on my 1983 2.0 Air cooled CU engine. From this diagram, I know I need to undo the nuts/bolts marked 2 + 4 to release the mounting bar from the van, but to release it from the engine, do I - Undo nuts marked 14, leaving the engine bracket on the engine, or - Undo b...

So, would the procedure for removing engine mounts be:
- Jack up, support the van.
- Support the engine.
- Remove the exhaust
- Remove the fan housing.
- Remove engine support bar with mountings from engine and van.

Only trouble is, looks like the oil filler pipe is not available anywhere.
Can't find one new or 2nd hand.
Looks like the one for the CU engine is different from the others and no longer available.
Can't find a 2nd hand one either.
I don't suppose anyone knows where I might find one ?
