I had a particle filter (cat) fitted to my jx many years ago, it actually didn't improve things much emission wise, it reduce my tax from 1500 yoyos down to 400. It still only got a red sticker fit the German pollution zones. Did you have it custom built? Or can you take one from a later model?  

I used one of those, they are usually imported from Germany, for my old 1.6, was on there for years before I upgraded the engine. It was still in good nick when removed.
