Finally sorted the probelm   Or rather sorted the problem out and then caused another. Let me explain. After much head scratching I finally took the car to a VW specialist and told him of my woes. Got a call an hour later saying it had been fixed. What ??? I spend 3 days and he solves it i...

So took a trip down to Halfords, bought a feeler gauge and workshop manual all ready to adjust valves and lo and behold I find out the valves are hyrdaulic and don't get adjusted....DOH! I was convinced that the tappets had closed up and adjusting them would solve the problem  So I guess the on...

not convinced about the HT lead problem as when I pulled them from the plugs with the engine running there was a nice juicy spark, but I guess replacing them wouldn't hurt.

I'm going to have a proper look again tonight and will report back.

thanks for the replies so far

Running on 3 cylinders?

Help appreciated with the following problem that has just occurred on what has been a very reliable and sweet 1.9 petrol camper. Whilst driving the other day I felt the camper suddenly lose power as though it was running on 3 cylinders or there was fuel starvation due to a blocked filter or such lik...

Fridge vent

Can anyone tell me why you need to specifically have the square aluminium Electrolux fridge vent on the side of the van or camper? Does it have to be that specific vent or could I not use an alternative? As far as I am concerned as long as the flue is there all the ally plate seems to do is prevent ...

thanks for all the feedback so far - will give Mariner man a PM too.

So what is the view on ready made rock and roll beds? Are the MDF versions made by JK rubbish? What about the Bluebird type? I only want a 3/4 bed.

cheers

Building your own interior on the cheap

Have decided to take the plunge and gut the interior of our tired camper and replace with a nice new living system. Well I don't know about you but when I look at some of the prices being charged for ready made units and the price of a rock and roll bed with cushions it makes me think that there is ...

water tank

OK so I have a pretty unusual camper configuration for a T25. It's a high-top genuine camper conversion called an Autocruiser. It's got the kitchen and fridge unit at the back with, believe it or not, a shower cubicle too! [img:400:265]http://snap3.photobox.co.uk/13285547ab99b053a9027702cfc65b89d04e...

water tank

New to the VW scene, I merrily filled up the underslung water tank on my T25 right to the brim just to check I could in fact get running water through the taps - all seems OK! I then needed to pop down to the shops in the van and suddenly realised that I would be carrying (x) litres of water in the ...
