Thanks 300CE yes please if you could let me know if it doesn't go - need the dipstick too. Will keep checking with brickwerks and pop them a message as suggested. Thanks for all the help

Thanks guys. I did know about the 'small' problems and brought with full knowledge but until I started reading up a bit more about the little things, didn't realise that they might cause problems! It ticks all our other boxes (which were many!) and we still love it so I'm still not massively worried...

speedo arm inoperative
Hi all. Just brought a 1990 1.9 petrol transporter. Few little glitches, one of which is that the speedo arm doesn't work, although the speedometer does. Makes a bit of a whirring noise. Haven't even attempted to get into the dash yet - thought I'd see what others had to say first.

Hi all. New to here and watercooled (but not Aircooled). Just got a 1990 1.9 petrol transporter. Hi all. New to here and to watercooled (but not to Aircooled). Just got a 1990 1.9 petrol transporter. Among a few other little glitches, a wierd thing is happening with the hazard lights. Indicators work ok but I gather that's a separate fuse/relay so not confused by that. But switched the hazards ...
