I appreciate that the 1.9DG and 2.1DJ engines are different in terms of one being carbs and one fuel injection, different airboxes, air flow meters, ECU etc, but in principle if I wanted to swap engines are they fundamentally the same unit?

Do you have any photos showing what it is like? I recovered the entire inside of my van walls and ceiling, with the four way stretch carpet and used spray adhesive. It is really easy to do and the result is brilliant!!

On my '87 van I just removed the white plug from the arm on the steering column and fitted the correct relay to the fusebox in the glove box. No wiring was needed as it was all there. Is '87 no an early van?
