Re: In need of a new VC
What are the chances of you having some old photos of my van? I always think it has some good karma from its previous life.

Re: Front lower ball joint removal (syncro)
I'm glad you guys struggled with yours too. Mine took one hell of a beating with a tube over the top.
Had to be careful not to damage the new seal though.

Re: Subaru EJ25 dohc parts. Where from?
It turns out I have bagged myself a sohc despite the info regarding the model year.
So any good advice?
I'm not planning doing the heads in light of this now.

Subaru EJ25 dohc parts. Where from?
I have found a one owner Legacy 2.5 from '99 with genuine 44k and fsh from Subaru. It's going in my Syncro transporter but not before a precautionary set of head gaskets and cambelt. My question is where can I buy good quality parts and should I be thinking of changing anything else while I have it ...

Re: Isle of Wight Syncro Owners? (or South Coast)
Simon I was under the impression that there is a syncro contingent on the island. Don't the syncronauts meet annually there too?
That could be a good source of info.
I may know someone who's interested in yours if you're selling it, do you have any pictures of it?

Re: knock knock!!
I've known the break back plates to knock on the drums before.
Still a drum off fix to "tap" the back plates into alignment.

I liked it when I saw it at Blissfields earlier in the year.

Re: Wheel noise?
Back plate can be a little out of line and a high spot on the back of the drum lip can hit it every time round.
Try looking for the point of contact on back plate and adjusting carefully with a hammer.
