Thanks, Shepster. Yours is the only reply! I was considering the Halfords 20/50 'cos it's readily available locally. I notice the same pressure issues arise after only a few minutes, four or five miles driving, when the oil temp needle is hardly off the stop, but the drop is down to 1bar. Very confu...

I have a syncro 1,9 DG wbx. sounds and runs sweet as a nut, but oil pressure, especially when hot, is a worry. Max on starting (hot summer) is just under 4bar, and runs around just over 2bar when cruising at 3200 rpm. The 2000rpm/80C (oil temp) figure is 20 psi (whatever that is in bar). Pressure sk...
