Re: reverse switch-lights. Gearbox gurus
OK Mocki, thanks. I take from that, the suggestion is wear in the switch increases it's length causing more contact points.

reverse switch-lights. Gearbox gurus
Morning all, Hope you are all safe and well. Got a slight problem that was pointed out to me by a classic mini driver at a set of lights, and that is my reverse lights flicker on and off. I got under the van and the wiring looks sound so I tested the switch and that works as in it makes and breaks c...

Re: Rear plastic window for Joker Tailgate
Hi, you can use a liquid solvent like tamiya thin, the stuff you would use to make model kits with. Make sure it is thin like water and apply with a small brush, it should get drawn into the crack by capillery action, hold while it welds the plastic and dries. Or try either EMA model supplies or 4D ...

Re: Devon rear cupboard door
Hi Magicwagon How about moving the fixings from the side to top and bottom, so the door lifts up and off rather than swings. Can open while sitting in bed, and will look the same when closed. Re: Misfiring
Stoopid question but is the choke coming off? Mine broke and the choke flap wasn't attached to the mechanism. Regarding your question about coils....I had one breakdown on a M/C it was fine from start up but would show symptoms of fuel starvation, miss and fart about halfway to work, I couldn't work...

When cleaning the carb, did you check the little cone filter in the fuel inlet pipe on the carb?

Re: DG engine real b*gger to start
Have a quick look at the document in this post and check your carb adjustments, you should only need to press the accelerator once to set the choke and then start on key

I would look at the idle jet too. Had this happen about 4 times now. First time I was pulling my hair out (if I had any!) trying to sort it out. Now It's the first place I'd look.

Re: Carb stuck full throttle
Yep I agree. Broken tip. The leg of the white piece should come up between the metal tangs as in one of Mocki's pictures, and there was an adjustment tolerence
of, I think, 0.5 between the tangs and the tip, you could close it or open it with a pair of pliers.

Re: Gearbox Work in London
Hi Mr Doom,
The gearbox guys are either Aidan or jebiga41. unfortunately neither are anywhere close to London, Aidan works out of Wales and jebiga41 is in Ireland.
They might be able to help or point you in the right direction.
good luck

While your here and talking Choke, How does your Flap look
What I mean is, Mine isn't vertical when off, never has been, and Van pulls very well, but always smells rich. Just wondering
if the slight tilt backwards is the norm or if a bit of tinkarage is required...
