Re: Viking Roof Latch - need longer thread
Hi,
How about a length of studding from B&Q ,bit of heat and bend the end over yourself. Just remove the existing and find the right thread and away you go.

Re: speedo and odometer stopped. Where to look first?
Ahhh the bouncing needle.. just enjoy the endearing design deficiency with the rest of us [emoji4] When approaching a 40mph speed camera: Look at needle > mentally adjust for MPH > estimate margin of error within bounce > cross fingers > look in mirror to see if there was a flash >then wonder if yo...

Re: Heater Cable Control Adjustment
Ahhh! I see...I must of been lucky and got it right by chance...i do need to replace the foam on the flaps at some point tho, but I'm not
ready to pull the dash and fan out just yet...I get warm in the winter and cool air in the summer, until the fan packs in it can stay put.

Re: Heater Cable Control Adjustment
I believe, from the one that I replaced, that they are a fixed length with "hooks" at each end. Can't see how you adjust them..Happy to be wrong tho.
I didn't remove the dash and did keyhole surgery via the ashtray and radio openings.

Re: Stalling after throttle release
yeah if you look in the dizzy at the bottom there is a plate which rotates slightly due to a linkage from that unit, that advances the spark as revs/vacuum increases.

That's how I did mine. just check it pulls, holds and returns fully. mine was very lazy, had a pin hole in the diaphragm.

Re: Stalling after throttle release
While your checking the Dizzy, have a look at the advance vac unit on the side to make sure it's holding a vac. I had a firestorm of issues that threw up similar results to you and that was just one of the problems I found.
Good luck.

Re: Comet geo water pump
Sort of a dumb question but just in case. Is it a new tap as well? Have you turned the tap on fully? I've got a super novo single tap and that is variable flow, has several click stops. Not sure if all makes are all like this mind!! ![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
just a thought...

I would go with something like this... https://www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/product/54ml-polystyrene-cement-glue-plastic-weld-ppc-2?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0N2Vo4KH6gIVTe7tCh0ckwB5EAQYAyABEgK8LvD_BwE It's this like water so use a small brush and run along the crack....oh err!! If you were a modeller as a kid ...

Re: Breather trumpet?
I think those rubber trumpets are referred to as ''Shrek ears'' for obvious reasons....the puzzle is, i guess, if they are pass through and the valve is in on the breather tank, then why
design and fit them?? what were they trying to over come or avoid with them?

Re: Oil pressure light.
Hey Phillydra, Before you rip your hair out and think the worse just go have a check of the wiring to the switch. Had a flickering oil light to solid that made my blood run cold so had poke around and found the wire from the switch had been trapped between the pushrod bash plate and the head and was...
